Our Background

Kris and Raeshelle Pickering have extensive experience in the forest industry. Raeshelle is a Registered Professional Forester with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resources Management with a Major in Forestry and a Minor in Environmental Studies. Kris is a Forest Technician with several years of selective logging experience as well as an accomplished Sawyer. This excellent combination shows our dedication to proper forest management and stewardship.

Our company started with the purchase of an industrial size portable band sawmill and a loader/forklift to mill appearance white wood for musical instruments made in the USA , China and Japan . After manufacturing Douglas fir and Western larch (Tamarack) timbers for several years we have expanded to build our own timber frames that can be sold in Canada, USA, and almost anywhere.

Our Environmental Commitment

Our goal is to satisfy all of our clients with a quality timber frame structure using methods that are environmentally sustainable. We want to keep timber framing the craft that it originated from. Our experienced personnel from our management to our timber framers excel in providing the quality that everyone is seeking. Our timbers are very tight grain with a large percentage of "Free of Heart Centre" to make sure our customers are getting a very high quality product.

We are exceptionally well located very close to Alberta and Montana .
